Rental Information

A vacation in one of our properties will be an enjoyable experience from start to finish. After your stay we hope you agree and return year after year visiting the same home or try one of our other properties for a new experience!

The reservation process is simple.

First review the information on this site. Most of your questions should be answered and it will help you select the perfect home for your vacation. Once you have made your choice call or e-mail me at Florida Keys Vacation Rentals, Inc.

Reservation: To reserve a home for your vacation, I will need your name, mailing address, at least two contact numbers (home, work, cell phone and fax), an email address, how many in your party, total count of adults and children, and if you are bringing or renting a boat or personal watercraft. If your reservation is well in advance of your arrival I can mail or email your reservation paperwork. If your arrival is imminent I can email or fax the reservation paperwork. Upon receipt you need to review the reservation agreement, fill out the guest list with the names of everyone in your party, sign the agreement and send it back with a check for the reservation deposit and a non-refundable booking fee within 7 to 10 days of reserving the home (if your reservation is well in advance). If your arrival is within 30 days, the time set for payment may be anywhere from one or two days to a week depending on the timing. If the signed reservation and first payment is not received within the time stated on your paperwork your reservation will be cancelled.

Payments: If your reservation is well in advance a second payment of one half the rent and tax total is required to hold your reservation. This deposit must be received 90 days prior to your arrival. The remaining balance (one half the rent and tax total, and any fees other than the booking fee and deposit) will be due 30 days prior to your arrival. Mark your calendar for this payment, no invoice will be sent to remind you! I will accept payment for these deposits and payments by personal check, cashiers check or money order. Please make out the checks to Florida Keys Vacation Rentals, Inc. Credit Cards are accepted. VISA, MasterCard and Discover and AMEX. If you wish to use a credit card for payment and it is your first payment on the reservation then you can email or fax the signed reservation to me and then call with your credit card details. There is no additional charge for use of a credit card.

Your reservation deposit is NOT part of your rent and tax amount. Do not deduct this payment from your balance due. Your reservation deposit converts to a security deposit during your stay and will be mailed out to you within two weeks of your departure after the home is checked for damage.

Please Note: If your reservation is within 30 days of arrival you will need to return the signed reservation paperwork promptly with full payment. Payments received within 20 days of arrival must be in the form of cashiers check, money order or credit card.

We are able to offer Travel Insurance. An informational flyer will be in your mailed paperwork or sent by email. This is an optional offering which, if you want it, you must let me know and include the cost in your first rent payment (the 90 day prior to arrival payment or first payment if your reservation is made closer to arrival than 90 days). The cost is approximately 7.3% of your total reservation monies (less the reservation deposit, cleaning and pool heat if applicable). If you are interested in travel insurance I encourage you to check with the travel insurance company to verify that the insurance will cover whatever need you feel may arise.

Check In: You must come to the rental office to check in. Check in will be 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. If you will be arriving after 5:00 PM you must let me know in advance so we can make arrangements for an after hours check in.

Check Out: Check out on your departure day will be at 10:00 AM. Please see FAQ for condition of Unit on check out.
